i bet they are the same colour, i dont have 2 pictures of mine where it looks the same in each pic. and my mrs swears its grey and not green.

Naw, the motors out of it now for a rebuild as the rest of the cars in crackin condition inside and out (even the drivers lumber bit on the seats no burst :shock: ). Something else about Daves car Ive just noticed its no a GTi but that adds to the sleeper effect :twisted:
A think Im developing dementia I'll need to consult with OCP aboot that :mrgreen:

Depends on what you are after K, sportscar, GT tourer, saloon, hot hatch, yank muscle, yank sedan ?
Personaly i've never bought an old car that didn't need some sort of work, for example my mates blue Land Rover that i posted a pic of need's tons done and that was bought from a "specialist" for top money so sometimes it doesn't mater where you buy it from or what you pay an old car will need some sort of work or fettling.
Did see the Practical Classics feature, you're right i just thumbed through it in the shop, tend not to buy mags these days unless there is something spectacular in it (usually nothing to do with cars

Good stuff Mark, this months Practical Classics features an Elite, probably worth a peruse rather than purchase though, its an article on wedged shaped cars.
Speaking of which I just happened to pick it up for a browse, getting a wee bit bored of the modern car and was thinking of getting something with a bit more character my only problem is not having the time to be fixing them up.
Any suggestions for a bombproof classic?
