Just finished fettling this lovely example of a 1995 Orange P7
It rides like a dream

Very nice. Is that the groupset it came with ?

Groupset

Yes it is an LX groupset which is fine for now but I may start collecting to replace it .I had to take off the rapid-fire units as the right side had a lazy pawl spring which is a shame as they look like new. I replaced them with XC Pro thumbs and purple X Lite levers which work well with the 8 speed despite being 7 speed !

WD40 sprayed liberally into the mechanism can help with lazy pawl springs, the grease stiffens up over time, so it just needs thinning out

Really like that.
I had the 96 model, which was identical aprt from orange decals instead of purple. (Think you could choose the decal colour IIRC)
Mine was LX, but upgraded to XT and put the LX kit on a C16R (still in my possession - the wife's!)

Biggest cycling regret ever was selling that P7 - will just have to look for another!!

Never been a fan of the chrome frames ones, but this one looks really clean i do like it ,)
