Sounds like a plan, both keeping the bike true to its era and you sporting some super shortier shorts!Thank you for the brochure link! I think it's a 1986 too, based on the stickers and the 'aero crown' for the forks, as this feature was present in brochures from 1983-1985, yet I couldn't find it anymore in 1987.
I didn't have too much of a concrete plan back then - but now I feel like I'm convinced to keep its components and aesthetics true to its era. Looks really good with the silver components in the brochure. Currently I'm just thinking of adding some silver metal fenders and racks...?
And also some shorter shorts for an accurate look![]()


Metal fenders and racks will certainly make it more practical and enable you to ride it whatever the weather, it all depends if your bare legs are also up for the challenge!
