Merlin frame sizes vs other makers

the top tube lengths in the catalogs are nominal, i.e. horizontal and thus longer than if measured along the top tube. thus if the 23" are measured along the top tube it is deffo a larger frame than the one with 23" top tube in the catalog. which jives with the longer seat tube. sounds like it is too large for AG.

The merlin frame that I have seen is an oldie with threaded headset and threaded fork. Is it possible to convert them to non thread? Dont know many suspensions that come threaded. Correct me if im wrong about that.

You just need to swap the threaded headset for an aheadset so you can use any 1" unthreaded forks.

I'd keep the fork travel down so as not to upset the geometry too much - RC35's probably the best bet, or perhaps Manitou I, II, III or IV (not an expert on the Manitous, I have some RC35's ready to go on mine).
