**** me sideways - internal Klein cabling routing!!!

Get a long length of string and feed it into the frame. When an amount that is longer than the tube is in the frame get a vacuum hose over the exit hole and hopefully you can suck the string through the hole. Make sure you have hold of the other end!!

Then tape the string to the cable and pull it through.

I've done this a few times on a GT sts and a Klein.

My technique involves a cost hanger. Unwind the hook and straighten it all out. Bend it to shape that will allow you to push it through one end of the frame, and patience to get it to come through the other side.

The cost hanger is almost the perfect diameter compared to a cable, so once you have it running through the frame, you can push a length of the sheath down the hanger then pull it through (,well push). Once you have that through, remove the hanger and slide your actual cable through the sheath. Job done. It's much harder a job to do this on a GT sts than a Klein, I've done both this way.

I've got to re-cable/hose the Scott ebike, and possibly the nukeproof too after totally fking up the rear brake hose.

Given its just a nightmare, im going to invest in one of the Park cable routing kits
It's 60 quid - which i reckon is very good for a Park tool kit, so I think is going to be worth it, especially for the Scott being a suss and the hose and r/mech cable being routed through the chainstays too

Struggle
Swear
Get frustrated
Repeat the same process 10 times
Then…. When you’re at the end of your tether, marvel as it goes straight in!

Seriously, I did the string thing but put a needle on the end so the vacuum cleaner could pull on it.

Similar to Ishaw but I use modelling wire. Get a couple of metres of 3mm on eBay for not very much. Easy to straighten into sections and controllable from one end to help find exit holes. This size of wire pushes firmly into cables outers and can then be pushed back down the way.

I always feed from the downtube end up. Removing the forks usually gives better access to top end of the down tube to feed through the upper guides.

So I ended up using Dental Floss and a hoover and it worked a treat and took 5 mins. Then taped the end of the cable to the floss and pulled it straight through.

Thank god as I was starting to get quite anxious I’d never get it sorted or was going to have to take it to the LBS anyway here is the build. Still need to swap the stem out for a black one and I can’t quite get the front mech to shift into the big ring - which I think is due to the external BB and chainset just being two wide/long so might change for a M950 BB and chainset
