I've recently had cause to empty out my office.....its going to be something else now I've retired...

Part of my emptying is deal with "stuff".

One such stuff is these.....

Im hoping somebody might be able to throw some light on their worth....don't worry i assume its not much....as I would like to pass the cash on for charity...st Elizabeth's Hospice.....but i don't know what to ask for the lot..

Some date from my childhood in the late 60s, although there are 70s and a few 80s thrown in. Some are earlier as they came to me from an older cousin!

There's also some advertising trucks from an old job!

Its a mix of matchbox and the earlier labelled lesney matchbox.

Any ideas much appreciated....

Can't answer your question - but I've got the wagons in the box, and the red Kenilworth tractor unit... sadly mine are all battered, well played with. Last seen in a bucket, the bucket is full of matchbox and hot wheels (mostly '80's), I think my son has possession of them (he's 27 soon...).

I'd have thought the easiest thing to do would be to Google each vehicle type you have there and see what hits you get. I'm guessing they all have a name and year on the underside, perhaps a reference?

I couldn't say from the pictures if you have anything of value there, but at a recent retro festival we went to, there were several sellers with tables full of similar items, with those in decent condition being priced at a pound or two each, and those in shabby condition being priced in pence (25p each or 5 for a pound) kind of deals. We took home a couple of Lotus', one of which I plan to try and restore.

Sound simple...but its not. Ebay has examples but with prices all over the place for the same thing ......much like the bike world. .

Problem is trying to find sold prices if really hard as there are a sqillion different models, ages, boxes, conditions.

You think finding a realistic price for pace forks is hard!

I could shove them in a general local auction, but I fear the charity will see nothing from that.

I was hoping an enthusiast on here might shed some light / wish to take them for a donation.

Some nice stuff there!

Nothing of huge value but the G-4 Convoy Gift Set would have some value.

The five Majorette trucks at the top have some value too, promotional models made by a company called AdTrucks, printed in Norfolk but popular in France, some were made in small quantities and can command decent prices.

Can’t really help with values as they are very condition sensitive

I cant help with the value of anything there, although 1/64 die-cast are my other hobby it's less about value and collecting, more about customising

However, I did recently find a 1968 corvette in an antiques shop for £1 Hotwheels were first released in 1968, and this casting was only made in 1968, making it a vary nice find indeed. It won't get painted. Just admired.
