I just bought this ift frame with the answer style cnc work to the chainstay bridge

Problem is the headtube is cracked a little :roll:

question 1,I can get it welded up no probs,I am then going to powder coat it black

Would it be unethical to label it with answer manitou decals..... :?:

I always wanted one of those and it has the cracked headtube so is very similar,also has the cnc work so it will look ok I reckon....black with white decals,and a few gold bits to look neat but a bit stealthy

opinions of a serious nature welcomed

yes, why not. i like my alu marins and would encourage a quick polish only.
however if you are dealing with bit of welding then a change of colour won't do any harm and, manitou forks were an option on ift's so there is a good conection with answer.
gold seatpost and bars/stem?

I always wanted a manitou ht,could not afford one then and cant find one now,the ift shares many features and I think it will look cool.....anyway all parts are on their way....watch this space

Only if he was going to sell it as such, surely. If he's always wanted one, and the stickers make him feel special, why not?

That aside...I was thinking cyman carbon hubs,(got them) in gold and carbon,built into mavic sunset rims with fancy spoke patterns

I am going down the manitou route so hyperlite bars in black,manitou or atac stem,with efc manitou forks because of the red and gold bits in the anodizing....had some of those this year and stupidly sold them :x

other bits will be mainly xt m739 and some gripshits in 8 speed.....had some of those and gave them to sithlord :roll:

any other ideas below please........

I would mikee.......they both are made from swiss cheese and last about as long,so some similarities exist,but I would not want to upset tintin
