Magura Pads and Ceramic Rims

I've just bought me some 20th Anniversary HS33's for my Hei Hei

Looking at running ceramic rims too, what are the standard pads like? CRC sell a couple of types of ceramic friendly pad for Maguras, anyone tried them?

'Standard' grey pads are fine, used them for 16-17 years. If you want to stop in a real hurry then buy red ones (but they dont last long).
Green if you ride constantly in the wet.

So you ran the standard pads on ceramic rims?

My understanding from the LBS is that you only really need ceramic specific pads when the rims are new and a bit 'gritty'. Once the rims just have a smooth ceramic surface (one wet ride for me!) then regular pads are fine. I took their advice and it proved to be the case.

However this was for v brake pads, not sure how it relates to Magura pads but would guess that the principle holds.

I hope they sit well on a Ti frame, oh the vanity

"Oh, one must make sure they don't clash with one's decals"

well, they clashed with my AxisTT....so they're now fitted to something else.....

yeah, allegedly the grey pads are designed for ano and ceramic rims.

Green Frog are also supposed to be ok with ceramic rims

You normally get black pads when you buy a complete set, they work with anything.
