MacRetro Anniversary ride - Sunday 7th June 2015 - Aftermath

T'was a good ride that!

Decent weather, some lovely retro bikes and great company. What more can you ask for.

Seven riders turned up in the end, with one no-show compensated for with one lurker turning up on an e-stay Cro-Mega. That was complemented by 2 Zaskars, an '80's Rockhopper, a Saracen Kili, Cols rather nice Klein Attitude and my DB Ascent EX.
We met a couple of groups of guys who were very interested and complimentary about the old metal with a couple of youngsters proclaiming that we had made their day!

We stuck to the blue route and thankfully the ride was fairly uneventful. No injuries. No major breakdowns and just the one puncture for me.

Not got many photos sadly as I only had my phone. Hopefully Vern will stick some up once he gets home.

Aye, looks a nice time had by all and more 'The old codgers bikes they met on the trail.

Decent weathers more than half the battle.Horrible just all cycling along head down trying not to fall off.

Was a good day, gutted I had to duck out early (as usual) but for once and maybe it was the Zaskar but I didn't mind the climbs and was relatively quick on the downs (where front traction wasn't required!)

Good to meet Vernon too, good craic and decent trails!

A decent turn out, some nice bikes, and the weather looks not too bad from the first few pics. Gutted I missed this, the offending bike is in the Sin Bin and will be looked at when I have lost the urge to recycle it into Coke cans

Looking forward to seeing some more pics... I guess Vern isn't home yet? :shock:
