Hi Guys,

a friend of mine is looking for a no-nonsense mtb.
He found this M-Trax 600 Ti/Cromo
It is all original and only needs some new teeth some day and in kinda nice condition allover..with all the original Exage parts.

I do not know that much about these high end Raleigh's
what can you tell me?

and the 150 euro the seller is asking, is that reasonable?

IIRC, this was at the bottom of the M-Trax range. Not a bad bike, but not amazing.

Raleigh did their standard bikes, an Off-Road range (Ravine, Apex, Summit etc), M-Trax and Dyna-Tech.

Price seems a little OTT, but for a more specific value stick it in the Whats My *** Worth thread please

I would not say that is high end. It is ti made available to the masses.
In that state, with that componentry, with the outlook parts have to be replaced I would say it is too steep for a Dutch classified site. But it is 2008, so you never know with vintage newbies browsing around

Normally: 50 euros because your generous + your help getting rid of their junk :P

Ha, been waiting for one of these to turn up. I had the 400 model, in a sparkley black with flouro yellow decals. It had a shiney dyna tech/special products division sticker down the bottom of the seat tube and as a 16 yr old, I used to convince myself (and mates) that it was one!

Must admit It never let me down, but an M-Trax is really like buying a 318 BMW!! poor mans dynatech. Never really understood the theory....get two titanuim tubes and stick a steel back end on, and what you get is a frame no lighter than a nice steel frame with similar ride qualites, strange. But it fooled me, so the Ti tag worked!

The money is way to steep too! Point him in the direction of a nice steel classic.

If anyone has pics of the black 400 with its weirdly over-specced dx topshifters, I would like to see it!
