White one looks Pre 1990... based upon components. Not a bad thing. Tires on it are not stock. Am going to stay that was the stem that was spec'ed either.
We used to pitch them as the other higher end Japanese company (Miyata being the first).
Never had any major issues with them the couple years I sold them.
I believe in Edmonton at the time, Edmonton Cycle (where I worked - '90 - '91) was the only shop that carried the line.
The shop was more family oriented selling Norco, Nishiki (yes including the Alien), Fiori, BRC, Yokota and but could bring in higher end brands that weren't exclusive to the "Pro Shops". It was one of those old multi-generational family shops owned by the Moon family (Gods those places were magical looking back on them).
