Loosing body weight question

TT if your 10.5 stonish just now depending on your height I'd say your diet probably isn't too bad. What is your height/current exercising/diet like?

WoW what a lot of ideas. A pet tapeworm (have to think of a name) Lighter bike! Nice. But the later Trimbles are rarer than hens teeth.

Now i went to the doc's for check up. As i'm at that age  The nice nurse had trouble with my blood pressure but we got their in the end.
Then she checked my height 5.6  i've lost 3'' she double checked. still 5.6. Then my weight. I offered that to get the correct weight i should remove some clothing. But declined  11 stone. So later i see my doc.And i said to him i've lost 3'' so he checked 5.875 so got my 3'' back :D
looked at the charts and just under 11 stone is OK for my height. It's just that i was 9 1/2 stone now i feel fat :(
My diet needs sliming down.

its not too much, get a workout dvd and eat healthy if you dont already and youd be looking at about 3 or 4 months to lose it i reckon

4 months  not too long. Right no more chocolate, snacks. Will power
You don't have to go hungry.

Try a gently reduction in calories, up your protein intake (muscle sparing, so attempts to ensure you lose fat not muscle). Whilst you're losing weight / dieting, view your calories from carbs as expendable ('cos they are...) and treat your protein and fat intake as essential ('cos they are...).

Don't think purely about weight, though, think about body composition. Looking in the mirror is a good guide more than purely what you weigh.

One other thing to bear in mind, stats heavily bear this out, that people who lose weight, mostly end up putting it back on - sometimes more. Not so much of an issue if it's not a lot of weight, and you're generally pretty close to your ideal weight (which is what it sounds like).

lots of low weight, hi reps weights at the gym
Not a good idea, if you regularly already train with weights.

If you're trying to lose weight, you normally want to lose fat. What you don't want to do (normally) is lose muscle. So use weight training for it's purpose - increasing or maintaining muscle size and strength.

Whilst you're losing weight, if you change your workouts for lighter weights and more reps, you're signalling to your body, that you don't have the same demand for muscle size or strength - so don't expect to retain the same degree of muscle size or strength.

On the other hand, if you want to diet and lose weight, and already lift weights, and want to preserve as much lbm as possible, ensure a good amount of protein in your diet, and lift weights as if you mean to - no reduction in weights, no increase in reps, perhaps a little reduction in volume.

What you want to signal to your body, when you're dieting, is that you still want as much of your lbm as possible, and encourage weight loss to be fat - you won't be doing that by switching to lighter weights and high reps - and you may not burn that much more in terms of calories, either.

Hunger is most likely thirst.
Hunger will increase the more weight you lose - you're body will fight, metabolically, the longer you restrict calories (in relation to energy expended).

It's largely an effect of leptin.

Weight loss is merely economics my friend. What goes in must be less than what goes out. Unfortunately, like real economics, what is easy in theory is often much harder to put into practice......

Having said that, the breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, dinner like a pauper and drink more water than you are now should do the trick so long as your metabolism is kept high enough with exercise.
Even with exercise / activity, calories being restricted to less than expended, will soon reduce your metabolic rate.

Your body hates you, and the system is asymmetric - the longer you lose weight for, the more your body will fight to stop it - unfortunately not the same when gaining weight.

Blame natural selection and your genes ;-)

Sounds like you're very close to your ideal weight.

So let your guide by body composition rather than body weight (given you are fairly close to where you "should" be).

So very slight reduction in calories (maybe just trimming out some junk food / treats), ensure you're getting enough protein (more likely you'll need to increase it) and take it from there.

Watch the mirror for looking leaner, rather than watching the scales. LBM is good (and it's what additional protein in your diet will be trying to preserve), weight is generally a guide - and it sounds like you're close to ideal - so do what most people really want, just diet to get a bit leaner.
