Lidl repair stand pics

Came across this thread while searching for Peugeot Scorpion info.

More than a month on, what's the view on these stands.

I've found it great, making everything much easier, especially gear fitting & adjustment.

It's fine for gripping the top tube or down tube although admittedly it can't fully hold a bike by the seatpost alone, but supporting the front wheel on something (in my case a bucket!!) does the trick for most jobs.

Money well spent, even with some of its faults - a bit like my bikes! :) :)

Bugger, missed it, but I can't really afford it anyway...

But there is another way.

You know those swivelling hooks one puts in the ceiling to suspend plants and the wife from, well they are well anchored they would have to be to hold a basket of soil and water, well, take the plants down and winch the bike up on them come bike repair time. Stability can be ained by making triangles of string in the supporting strings, the hook string to the bottom bracket and another tring to the top tube making a triangle.

I have found three ceiling hooks strategically placed with bike maintenance in mind to be about the minimum needed although if the maud likes plants as many hooks as you require.
