This year its been crazy mad at work, and unfortunately I've had little or no time to do any actual riding and having bought into the modern is best approach , I found myself with more bikes and parts that could be classed as healthy
Having ridden and raced mountain and road bikes since the very early eighties, I've played around with modern bikes on and off now for the last ten years or so, sadly they just don't rock my boat like the old stuff from bitd,
Over the last 10 months , I've managed to clear most of the modern technology laden stuff out, but I found myself with some parts that just hung around that nobody seemed to want.
I have most basis covered when it comes to my cycling needs, or at least I thought I had.
Most recently when I'd been on my cake run, I had noticed there was a slight disturbance to the cream/pastry balance due to the vibrations and road shock being transfered through my regular retro ride.
Obviously this is just not acceptable , maybe a modern bike could serve a purpose after all
Time to raid the parts bin and see what I could throw together from the leftovers, this was the result
So far I'm winning, the suspension and the one handed disc brake stopping power is coming into its own,but tomorrow could be a different story as I'm going to be supporting my local brewery in sampling there finest ales to make sure they are acceptable for general comsumption
Watch out for more news and updates.
