The issue with decals under lacquer is that you can feel them/ see them if they aren't waterslide. There isn't much alterative though unfortunately.
I think removing a headset or even fitting one is best done yourself. Issue with bike shops is that they will simply do it like every other bike.
When i did mine i took my time. Gradually pushed it cup in indivually , and constantly made sure it was going in straight.
Usually a headset takes like 1 minute , i think i spent a good 20mins on the green Ku.
On the orange Ku i turned down the headset so it presses in by hand. My research suggested the 97 was far more likely to crack so didn't risk it.
