Kona Hahana - Lost and rediscovered - new pics 7 jan 2010

HastobeKona

Old School Hero
Check this out.. My first ever MTB was a 1992 Hahana in blue with Project 2 forks. I loved it and did some serious (for me) mileage on it. For example I did a 27 mile, 3 peaks ride in the lakes once which I remember beign quite gruelling. No suspension but who cares, no one has suspension, its 1992. So.. I lent this bike to my sisters boyfriend at the time 15+ years ago because I bought a 1996 Muni Mula. And to this day I thought he had kept it or given it away but essentially that it was lost forever.

My mother called me up the other day and said "Were clearing out the shed and I've found a bike in there that you used to ride, its a blue Kona, do you still want it" aaggghhh yes please! christmas has come early !!!!!....

Hahana

Dude, I havent even got my hands on it yet, can't wait to see it for the first time. Then I'll decide whether to replace anything on it or leave it totally orig.

Will post pics soon.

Just pick up where you left off: no hassles, clean, lube, ride! It's your bike, they're your scars, dings, scrapes, nicks and blemishes too! Cherish them and the memories attached to it.
