That´s the way shown in this threat.

This is why I asked Jon if you had your computer back yet I know you hoped to have it back yesterday

With the difference in languages and how things written on the internet it's far easier to show pictures as a show and tell

It would be cool if you could post them

Some amazing work in this topic.
For the Union Jack flag - you need to get hold of a formula 1 frame to put it on first I reckon 8)

So Martin what do you consider the hardest Klein paint job to do?

Again my question also was how much is the Backfire Adroit paint job you are doing going to cost?

Regards

J

I would have thought all prices are a generalisation till the frame is in the painters hands and the level of work is is fully disclosed such as the frame Martin is working on shows when stripped the workload increased

I agree most customers should discuss with the painters the expected costs before and as long as the painter/customer communication is effective then both should be happy at the end.

a point for most users of a service..most of us will have seen in all walks of life that cheapest..is not always the best

Martin as Jon mentioned ..if you and your customer are happy to disclose the price of that current frame could you give an expected end cost?

Again my question to Jon...Have you your computer back yet to see such walk throughs and process's shown as Martin has done? it is very helpfull to see the process's and difference from two such well known painters

Stevet1....The obvious union jack job would be an Orange of the big slab sided frames such as a patriot ..but I suspect the most skilled of painters will be able to use a conventional frame and make the union jack stand out without it looking garish

Hey perhaps we could have a union jack paint off? :D

I also paint real formula one frames from AX Lightness, a company which produces crash boxes for formula one cars, too.

The hardest paint job for me is a black Klein because it kind of hurts when somebody chooses a black Klein over a colourful one as there are so many flashy colours out there.

The rest is good craftsmanship and business as usual.

Talking about a really hard paint job please watch the following video about the painting process of an AX Vial during Eurobike Exhibition.

Its not only about spraying on some colour but finding a good idea, bringing some good characters to life and transfering all this stuff on the frame in front of an audience where you have only one try to do things nice and perfect.

Again my question also was how much is the Backfire Adroit paint job you are doing going to cost?

As you probably know yourself prices depend on condition of the frame, colour scheme and preparation workload. An average price would be between 350-500€ for a Klein Frameset.

Cheers.

It good to see your a lefty like me

Heres those pics:-

The Boron areas were sanded by hand...that is true Klein love!

Below is a picture of an Adroit stripped showing Boron including the inside of the lower driveside chainstay. This is to give strength as the tubes have less material thickness.
The one you showed only has one small area there?

Also another picture showing Rainforest underneath the original Cosmic paint scheme.

Why have you removed so much of the carbon surface while sanding? Normaly the surface has to be a bit shiny after stripping the paint when the Boron Carbon is in original good conditinon?

Is it to get the frame lighter? Compare the chainstay to the seatstay in the back on your picture.

Why do you post your pictures in two threats?
