The only sponge action I need is my wifes sponge action in the kitchen after I have cooked lunch.

She should be cooking not you
The leg in the back is ready to primer. On the leg infront is still alot of aluminum oxide.

These forks are made from Magnesium no?

So you dont etch the surface prior to priming?

Did you have that price for me?

I wonder Jon

If you have managed to get your computer back yet so we can see some of your prep work and the walk through process?

Purely given that Martin and yourself seem to do most of the Klein paints in here it would be good for comparissons, even more so given your comments would indicate there are slightly different approaches taken by both painters?

Martin..I'm glad you cleared about about your mrs sponge..outside of the kitchen that could bring on a whole new meaning.

Yes these forks are magnesium. Same procedure to both materials.

I dont understnad what you mean to prior to priming ( im not a native speaker) but when i use an acid what do you think happens to the surface?

Jon means, do you use an etch (or acid) primer, on the bare magnesium, as would be done on a bare aluminium or steel...? On top of the etch primer, goes the regular, high build primer

On page seven I wrote.

Back to the frame the polyester filler is also gone. The next step is to smoth the surface and spray on some new etch primer on the frame.

This is the answer.

No I mean etched with a fine abrasive media then etch primed....

Something for the paint to 'key' onto...
That probably doesnt translate to German...
