Ken Taylor's Passing 06/10/2025

-----

thank you for sharing this sad news

the brothers certainly built beautiful bicycles

owned a yellow Tour of Britain from '73, wonderful machine! ;)

IIRC Ken carried out assembly & shipping, the way the three brothers shared the workload

their mom was a huge fan of the blues and used to put up traveling blues musicians

That's sad news indeed. Without sounding rude I thought all 3 of the Taylor brothers passed away some years ago. Ken must of had a good innings.

Who would of thought some of the best frames ever made were built in a scruffy factory unit on an industrial estate in Stockton-on-Tees.
The lugless curved tubed ones they produced were simply amazing looking machines - something of a Holy Grail in my opinion, wall art.

Hi Paton
Yes I have seen these for sale, it is a gentleman selling them on behalf of Honor and the family to help pay some of the bills from the funeral, the care home he was in after his recent fall etc, so for a very good cause.
I had been lucky enough to be gifted a few things by Ken and others over the last few years so not for me for the most part, but the calipers of Norman’s interest me for sure.

Jamie
