Karpiel Disco Volante 2003/4 frame

Just aquired an ultra rare 1999 Spooky Motorhead DH bike so I've split my Karpiel down, sold all the bits, and now the frame is up for grabs.

This is probably one of the best DH frames ever built! Certainly one of the nicest to ride that I've owned, and I've had a few. For those of you that have only heard a bit about Karpiel, they are handmade frames, and this is the race frame (as opposed to the huge huck bikes that the likes of Josh Bender used) and hence only weighs 9.25lbs with shock.

It is a large frame, 7-9" of travel via a Fox RC shock with Pro-Pedal damping. BB is 73mm, QR rear end, 1 1/8" headtube. Has a solid rear triangle with a vpp type travel (long before santa cruz had it lol). Shock is set up for 11-13stone rider (I'm 12stone average).

I've had the frame for about 2-3yrs now, I imported it myself (there wasn't/isn't a UK dealer) for a small fortune from the US but I've hardly used it due to a very bad snowboarding accident that put me out for about 2.5yrs! I think they retailed for about $2.5k back in the day as frame only!

Anyway, frame will come with a Cane Creek sealed cartridge headset, black seat clamp and Thomson Elite seapost.

I can take more photos if anyone wants. Any questions just ask.

I'd like £600 for this beast.
