Spent a couple of hours on this today. A difficult birth. Front mech doesn't seem to have enough throw. Cranks are meh. Chain too short. Brakes trimmed and fitted but not filled or bled as I got hung up on the gearing. Still don't like the cables.

It's a great size and has lovely geometry. Fighting me though.

Had a nasty experience at mayhem last year. The black explosif ate its pads half way round. Fancied this might be better. Will see how it rides.
 
Finally got out on it today. Really nice and slightly larger than the other black one. Discs are great but chatter/tinkle a little. When i get off and spin the wheels nothing though. Seriously sharp at the front and a bit later at the back maybe pads are a little more worn as there's more travel but the same bite and feel.

Very sharp steering. Look at the bars to axle!

I'msure this will become the go to 26". Maybe sell the 92 explosif as i don't think it will get used now i've ridden this. Would be nice to have the pair at Mayhem though. Both a bit ratty and careworn and not precious.

Eagle-eyed will notice change of cranks as I've nicked these for the salsa.

Oh there was one thing that maybe somebody could help with. Would i be right in thinking that chain line should be about straight on middle middle? This is way OUT. Granny is closer to middle so will remove a space or should i put it on the other side? currently 2 drive 1 non drive. remove or move? They look a bit fat to me anyway given 68 bb.

yeah ideally middle to middle, 2 and 1 if its 68 shell, just one if its a 73

does it shift into the big ring ok?

must be close to not shifting up, is limit screw almost out?

i would def swap a spacer
 
All tickety boo on all shifts today. Will measure, move the rings and set up again. Cheers
