It's been a couple of months so .....Double Explosif content

Re:

I like the blue one as it is. But as others have pointed out, lose that thing on the chainset.
I'd plastikote the cranks too, but then I use SPD's so I wouldn't rub it off again. Something needs to happen with those cables, but I know nothing about bicycle hydraulic brakes.

Re:

Steerer is a little short on the black ones so I would be happier with a swap.

Guard already removed. Old photo. Waiting for olives.

These are very much a couple of practical everyday bikes due to the condition they arrived in. I plan to save the Pioneer and Alves for Sunday best. These two will go to mayhem etc with nary a care. I just want them to work well. I'm hoping the blue one will have a similar ride to the black as that's one of my favourites.

Archie's legs are crossed................

Re:

Ignoring the cables, that will get shortened on both bikes, I think they look ok with the swaps.

Should i be able to unscrew the V brake mounts on the silver ones?

The canti mounts should unscrew, do they have a flat on for a spanner?

Bikes look good by the way.

Re:

Is there silver on the decals on the blue one? Hard to tell .
If so, it's cool. If not, paint them black

Unscrew the mounts if there are flats on. You may need replacement bolts to hold the brace on though

Re:

Both look good! Really like the black with black and more black.
I preferred the black with blue though but if the steerer lengths work better this way then its no disaster.

I'm just not a fan of silver components anyway ;)
