I am in love. Warning CAMPING content!

To be fair the Hilleburg is absolutely a serious bit of kit. They also do a slightly heavier version that is definately 4 season; they've been used as base camp tents on Everest I think, so..

but it weighs just 5kg!!

game over!
yeah I do see your point, horses for 2nd courses really.
They're both Swedish though -which is nice.

i live and work on a camping site and we had one like ths in last year

proper warm inside with the logburner going

had to watch them with our tree,s mind

This is the kind of tent I would be stowing in the 4x4 and setting up for a weekend at least, as a base, not striking and hefting constantly.

When we head out en masse we have little tents for the kids, most of my mates take their own tents, always some end sleeping in the 'big' tent, if we sleep ... last time we had a 'big' camp some of us spent the whole night drying our feet on the fire, with a bottle of peat water to keep our throats from getting dry.

The only thing that would make this tent more attractive would be some more height, but that can be twicked.

Thats a fair amount for a tent :? would use get enough use out it to justify £650 :?
It's more than a tent though isn't it - more like a home ...you could live in that for most of the year, well I certainly could :)

With land access being as it is in Scotland, could you get away with having that pitched for several months, if it was somewhere remote?

There are people free camping for extended periods all over the place, here in the Highlands you can certainly find somewhere just about anywhere.

The usual problems with youths and all that apply if you are beside an urban area though. Sadly.

You can probably see some people living in the woods beside most of our cities via Google.

:)
