HONC 2017

Re:

Just about to head back to Gloucestershire, Persimmon are building a new housing estate that I need to look at.

Thrill a minute my life, I tell you.

I thought everyone was supposed to be on holiday and the roads quiet.

Along with a couple of videos.

Top of Cleeve Hill,

And the final descent,

I did take a few more videos, but tbh, it took all afternoon to download these two. Proper ball-ache for a technophobe like me.

Along with losing my avatar somehow, and not being able to get another one back.

Re:

I'll swear on my invitation it said orange, not yellow.

On the descent from Cleeve Hill, I had left a chap I'd been riding with for a while and was hootling along when a female voice called "on your right" and a downhill girlie rider came past me like I had both brakes on... R E S P E C T.

That last descent turned into a bit of a calf burner, great fun though, especially flying past modern bikes on my 24 year old.

Glad I dipped out. Nice footage. Very bouncy on the wrists. I have a broken knuckle. Happy days. Strapped.

Cheers Guys, yesterday was great.....

yeah Mike Dust..... look

the last drop through the woods was the only place I found any sticky stuff.

not in your league this one Mike, but I was happy with my 50k effort considering it was largely fueled by Steroids courtesy of the NHS

Re:

Just before Cleeve Hill video, I was riding just behind a fast rider.

We were on the grass to the right of the main track, as there were slower riders and walkers on it. We were going at a fair lick, too. All of a sudden, we rode over this bank, and it went down the other side steeper and further than we expected. Sharp braking ensued for us both, I half expected my front wheel to stop dead, but thankfully made it through. Phew

Sorry to hear that mate, still ok to unscrew the bottle? HIC!

Re:

Footage would be ok if I could have steadied the camera. The only way I can think of to do that, would be to tighten the harness for it. That would restrict my breathing even more than it already was.
Maybe bar mount in future.

If I EVER work out how to download the bloody thing.
