Help identifying an early carbon E-stay Please

Hi

I found this very interesting Carbon frame yesterday and have absolutely no idea what it is.

The writing on it appears to be A Degl'innocenti; the maple leaf is made from hallmarked silver which appears to be Italian.

The Mountain LX mech is a band on that's been modified and bolted to the frame.

The seat post clamp looks original but appears to have a replacement bolt, it's got various holes and threads cut in as if something else is supposed to be supported by it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

looking at the lower headset cup makes me wonder if there is an aluminium frame beneath the carbon wrapping?

looking at the head on shot, I'd suggest it's a foam core home made job. Has it been made in 2 halves, or is it a single structure?

If you flick it, does it sound dead or hollow?

Still, looks nice!

It's a single structure, the carbon sheet runs right across it and it does sound hollow. I think there is some kind of sub structure, the head tube is carbon wrapped aluminium and there are holes that suggest other tubes butt against it.
