Work well, and bit of retro with it and still pretty cheap on fleabay.

Anyway Greenstiles, you want to play with hair dye, give the henna a go, the stuff at Lush is pretty good until you find a decent supplier of the correct ingredients and that given you appear to be into the earthy hippy stuff, you should get on with it and if you like you can add a bit attar to the mix to give your hair a bit of perfume, for there is nothing like a bit of mystique.

Also henna smells nice, an unusual smell many are unfamiliar with.

I love the smell of henna. I went out with a bird with henna dyed hair for a few years. You didn't really notice the red till she stood in the sun.

I remember going somewhere in 1974 and almost all the blokes had bowie hair cuts[Ziggy] and it was dyed the colour. I was a young greaser[biker] and thought they were all batting for the other side;-) I was just an innocent country lad, still am;-)

Never done haircuts or shaving personaly.

I'm not sure whether it's because some DIY, but most of the time I see men of a certain age, who've dyed their hair to cover up grey and look younger, it always looks so obvious - like somebody else mentioned - like an iffy syrup.

Call me old-fashioned, but I've always seen clippers as the way to age gracefully with men's hair.

The other thing about using chemical dyes and I did for a while when I had a beard that was a mixture of red and dark brown, to get it all dark brown I used the 'just for men' beard dye and yep, it worked, but it did something to the hair, as for evermore after that I had to keep using the product, as the hair which was red had gone white, so that was that off came the beard and has been that way ever since, and I will not longer trust or use chemical hair colourants
