Oh dear where to start. I see it says newbie on your profile.
I take it you didn't check what they were going for on ebay before
advertising.

£900 bin (and in need of attention), £500 opening bid. If you could flog
mine for half that I'd be happy !

Good luck !! :D

I had a quick look on eBay but to be honest, there was nothing quite like this. I also had a look on this site at the kit that people were interested in and what sort of money that was fetching - The kit on this bike makes it worth buying for parts alone even if you lob some of the other parts. For example the Cranks and Bottom Bracket are still mint and worth a bob or two.

This is my first attempt at selling something like this so I'm prepared to give it a go at a slightly higher price. If no one is interested then so be it. I can always re-list another time.

Thanks for the observation though.

There's no denying its a hell of a spec but I think even in perfect nick
you'd struggle to make that.

The beauty of retrobiking is that stuff that was so pricy new is relatively
cheap now.

I'll just see how this goes. Fingers crossed. There may be a rider out there who is looking for just this! TBH if I get a bid I will be happy.

The MobileMe link works.

Good luck with the sale

A couple of humble suggestions;

When it doesn't sell & you re-list it, get some GT-85 and rub down the areas affected with rust;
Oil the chain before you take the photos;
And have at least one photo where the whole bike - or at least the majority of the frame - is visable.

All good suggestions. I am just struggling for time with work commitments. I thought I'd taken a snap of the whole bike but obviously forgot. Will add that later when I get a chance.

Are you sure you want to sell it? Or is the Mrs pushing you...

Might be better if the eBay ad had some pictures of the bike rather than just the BB area... :?
