GT Zaskar LE - Amazingly Trick bike

OMG :!:

What a shame!!!

I know it's got a lot of nice bits on, but not one of those bits is without the need of a full strip down and restoration, along with the rear wheel, forks and frame......

To be honest, the best way of making the most money is by stripping the bike and selling the parts.......As a complete bike with a complete stripdown needed, I only see it worth a couple of hundred quid max.....

In line with the forum's for sale rules please keep commentary on pricing to a minimum - the value of retro parts is very subjective.

I'll be the first to admit that this is not at its best. That said, a bit of TLC, GT85 and elbow grease and it only needs a new rear hub before it is back at it's best. "A couple of hundred quid" you are having a laugh. Some of this kit, old though it is, is still top draw.

not so sure about that. also needs some whole bike shots, not just close ups.

good luck with the sale. i think your asking prices are a bit high.

Mando, hopefully you're not feeling too battered after all that.

We ARE trying to be helpful honest.

On the one hand I hate to see people get their hopes up on what stuff is
worth, on the other I see a lot of stuff go on ebay for silly money when
with a bit of a cleanup and a better ad they could have made a mint.

You never know you might find 2 punters who absolutely have to have it !

PS You would be staggered at what you can pick up for a couple of
hundred quid with a bit of shopping around, top drawer or not !!

To be honest, asking £5-900 for it, I'd be expecting you to do all that before selling it.
