Grrr cats

Put orange peel in your garden, keeps cats away, they will dump in someone elses garden.

I got 4 cats, 2 boys 2 girls, the girls hate each other and one of them dumps in the other ones food bowl. so dont worry about your garden its not a biggy, coming down for breakfast and finding a stool in your bowl

Why should I though? If my dog was to lay a steamer on next doors lawn sure they would be knocking my door to have a quiet word. Why should I have to cat proof my garden.

Okay, for you cat haters that don't like cats in your garden, a way to discourage them, is if they jump in via your fence, know this, cats do not like getting anything sticky in their paws, so grease ( marmalade works) the top the fence and the cat won't come back.

But to understand why a cat craps in your garden you have to understand animal behaviour and territorial marking. But if your garden is visited by various cats to take a dump on your lawn, maybe it is your lawn is the local cat noticeboard.

After some reading up on stuff cat crap is actually quite toxic. Seems there is bugger all laws for the non cat owner to call upon but plenty of old outdated laws for the cat owners to hide behind. Also most of these tips about orange/lemon/grapefruit peel dont work. Think its time cat owners answer to the problems their cats cause.

I don't hate cats, wouldn't hurt a cat and am reasonably ambivalent towards them.

What irks me most is the whining of cat owners that moan if their pet gets hurt or killed when it's out (off the owners premises).
If they care that much about them then don't let them out.

people are often tempted to do more nasty stuff to cats than to dogs because of all the preconception with them "ohh they cant be trusty", its written all over this thread, from that to taking action is one small step. it happens a lot.
