Frame identification help - Marin? two stays on top tube

Wonder if it is a Sunn frame?

I have a feeling this is a Marin frame, possibly a 1989.

Not so sure, the 1989 appeared to have a step in the seat tube at the top, and didn't have the cool finish of yours or the pannier rack mounts:

The 1988 would have had the seatstay mounted U brake.

That doesn't preclude it from being a Marin, just not necessarily a team issue Marin

Oh, and the head tube is the same diameter as my older Bear Valley, that I'd always assumed was an 89 with a 1" stem.

This 88 Team has the two top stops, but only one on the downtube...

It's at the latest, a 1990. Other than the extra guides it looks very similar to the features of my bear valley :

Oh god no, that would mean I now have three BV's

Having had a closer look at my oldest BV, it does not have the step in the seat tube at the bottom above the bb shell.

Thank god for that.

Ideally need to see a 1990 catalogue.

Maybe it's just me but I see..

Cable Stop Top Tube
One for the Brake
One for the rear mech

Cable stop Down tube
One for the front mech.

I cannot see anymore than that and that's the normal amount.

How much does it weigh?
