It seems to me that your skewer is not running through the centre of the hub - the skewer nut is sitting higher on the exterior of the dropout than the spacer is sitting on the interior. Is this just camera angle?

Well spotted that man - however, bitd those clever guys at Pace came up with a hub axle which could be fitted either with a QR or bolted in place, hence the oval axle end with a threaded and an unthreaded hole. Rider's choice.
The oval axle end on the RC50 also means that it fits neatly into the end slots of the RC35, supposedly giving a bit more torsional rigidity.

Proper Yorkshire thinking lad

good attention to detail, the hub has two options for the skewer

Very cool.

Thank you for the explanation and pictures.

Re: Winter project started - Pace RC200 F2 with special RC35s

Quick update - after a small wanted ad on a Swedish site, I am one day later the proud owner of some immaculate blue RC130 bars. I was thinking of building all black/silver, and I still have some black RC130s inbound (once they're paid for) - but I had to try them and see.

What do the viewing public think of the splash of colour?

For me, I think it has to be the black RC130 bars, keep it understated

Polishing my nipples

No new parts arrived last week :(

So - as the front wheel has been rebuilt with new nipples, this meant the old nipples on the perfectly OK rear wheel didn't match the front any more. They looked like they were black - due to surface degradation

The answer to this is an RAF canopy scratch repair kit, with rubber backed sandpaper from 2400 to 12000 grains per inch

1 hours elbow grease = result

Im very much enjoying this build.

I love the Yorkshire detail with PACE parts, and you are doing a great job.

Nice turn around on those nipples aswell :)

P.S I would go with the blue bars, splash of subtle colour

Niall.
