feed the wild birds!

Good point mate 8)
We all spend thousands on ourselves,a couple of quid for a hanging bird feeder chock full of protein is er...peanuts in comparison
Im off to the lbs today to pick up a skewer.Theres a pet shop just along from it,i'll get something there.

I hang plastic cup full of lard and seeds in the branches .

and all the breadcrumbs go in the garden too .

Nah, this one sitting outside my window seems fat enough to me.... although he might be asking to come in, he does keep looking at me :P

they fluff their feathers up to keep heat in.

This is out front, next door take care of the feeding. There are arguments against continued feeding of wild birds though. It unnaturally supports a higher population for the local environment, then when you go on hols or move house or simply cannot be bothered anymore, a lot die as their isn't enough wild food available for all :(

But feeding as a top up in cold weather, yep :D
