Double build: Zaskar and P7 RS

I understood when you 1st mentioned about the art bit mate and glad to see the tidy up has proven worth while although tbh that was rather quick :shock: and i fully agree about the out of sight out of mind moto as it really is true and yes only 1 bike in the hall although i was moaned at for having just that a few weeks back :facepalm: so i soon got it moved into the shed before i was pestered to get rid phew! ..

Glad to see your going down the matching the Dean route because doing the orange wouldn't feel unusual and you'd end up changing it any way , oh goody , i didn't expect the shim to arrive that quick but like you say you'll be able to do some work rides sooner rather than later so yes you'll get to see how it feels out on the roads which will be a nice start indeed ..

Well yes i'll keep my fingers crossed for the Zaskar bits arriving early as i'm keen to see that fitted up with decals and tyres hmm! thinking about it i don't know who feels more excited about the Zaskar between the 2 of us and it doesn't even belong to me :facepalm: ..

The cellar is the one area of the house I keep spotless- not much tidying required, just a return to purpose after doubling up as a bike workshop in recent weeks.

I'm pretty excited about the zaskar - not sure how long the decals will take to arrive from the US but the rest should be here in the next day or two... hoping to get on it later this week!

I wish i could say the same about my shed as unlike your cellar it's just used for storage and even after a good tidy around it still looks untidy .

So then decals could still take a couple of weeks then but all being well like you say the rest shouldn't take to long so i'll be keeping tabs on the thread as i can't wait to see the next progress update ..

"Way-hay!" , Love it!! , you wouldn't think so now mate but my taste use to be very conservative a few years back, well i didn't expect that lot to arrive today but i'm really glad it did as that's really made my day and i just can't wait for the "PINK" Zaskar decals to arrive and that's the other thing i'm not normally keen on is skinny tires but i think that green kind of makes up for it alot so how long before the chains sorted as i know you can't do the brakes just yet..

Chain is here, though I'm between which rear mech to use and waiting for a shim for the front. I'm trying to resist the urge to take the bits I need off the p7, but will find it harder once the rest arrive. I love it- well chuffed!

I'm glad your chuffed! with it as it is looking really good and i hadn't forgot about that shim although i had hoped it would of arrived today and lets face it which rear mech do you think would really work well with the Zaskar as that's the best one to choose if your going to be using it and the urge to pinch parts off another bike is always hard to resist when your excited about completing a build and only you can stop yourself from doing so ..

Yeah, I'm not sure on the mech- gripshift is the issue- I have an older esp style or new gx, both of which are the wrong speed. The newer one seems to fit the chain better and will obviously work better, being new and all... seems a bit modern though, that this is in any way period. I should just stick it on and see how it works...

In other news I bought a pink shark fin!
