Hi guys!
I'm happy to show to you my new-old (unknown*) alu-carbon road bike!
i've bought it for pennies and with some free weekend and a lot of patience i've finished it, trying to ensure to "build" an efficient roadbike...
The frame looks like an old Alan but doesn't have any pantography or any other sign that could confirm it, so it doesn't an Alan, but some copy (if someone could have more info I could redraw the logo or something else to complete it)...

unfortunately it is not alan...
otherwise it would have the panto on the upper part of rear triangle :(

Re: my new-old unknown Alu-Carbon Roadie

Hi, looks like an early 90's Specialized Allez Epic Carbon to me, probably with non-standard forks. Google it and see what you think.. :)

Thanks Donkey Oaty! i've just search but unfortunately the Specy had smaller aluminum parts if compared to this one...and more regoular carbon fiber... on this one, the cromatic effect remind me some part in kevlar or similar...or an 97-98 giant mtb frame...

Re:

I was going to suggest Giant, or how about Liyang, they did a couple of MTB frames that used very similar construction.

Re:

Hi, hmmm, point taken. How about a Guerciotti? Very similar to Alan and I remember that they did do a Carbon/Alu like the Spesh....

Cheers,

Donkey.

Giant introduced the "cadex", but it was "a little bit" elegant in the shape... a great frame!
I've search for the Liyangs, probably could be one of them, but they adopted different sistem in the intersection between seatstays and vertical tube...
thanks :)
