Doh ! ebay woes....

So what crossmax's are they ? I am in the market for some ...

Just for info I bought some Marin forks on the bay (thankfully the search is now over ), I bid fairly, won them at a good price (stupid cheap but cant remember what) only to get a refund and an email a few days later saying they were bent (even though I had asked this up front) Clearly the guy didnt want to sell them at the price I bid and made up some crap to give me a refund. Not selling me the forks didnt piss me off so much as the crap he fed me, I would rather him have been honest

Even so, I didnt leave him bad feedback as I had know way of knowing for sure ...

It wasn't buyers remorse on my part...i listed them at a 99p BIN by mistake..was supposed to be a auction with a 99p start.

Will be far more careful in future...

Wheels are 1st gen ones...got them from Chris who got them NOS I believe.....barely used.

Yeah, I know that ;-) my comment was aimed more at the temptation to say they are damaged etc to void the sale - best to be honest (as you have been), even if the bloke is being a bit of a tosspot :evil:

Don't make up some excuse about damage or anything like that.

You made a genuine mistake - not trying it on after an auction has run it's course and not done very well.

Retailers often don't complete on things where items have been priced clearly wrong, and it's been very wrong.

Plus, there's a concept in law that people buying something at a price they know (or should know) to be a mistake, aren't entitled to it (ie you can't demand a bargain, that's clearly an error).

if you make a mistake in retail and someone demands it you say "sorry i cant sell those to you" then remove all that product from the shelfs then put it out the next day at the correct price
