Disc mount adapter questions

It's not possible to construct an adaptor to bolt an IS caliper to a PM fork and align it with a 160mm rotor within the constraints of the physical universe in which we reside, unfortunately :)

Bugger. . . . . and thanks 8)

Have to bolt this caliper back on to the old forks and see what gives over the next few days ;)

Just to confirm that mikeD is absolutely correct.

I got this question loads when I was in Shimano tech support.

That pink one looks like the right tool for the job??

Disc calliper adapter to mount a 160mm IS calliper on a post mount fork with a 160mm disc.

**edit** -3 in stock . . .

they look to be the same thing
the pink one says in description ano red :? mabe thats hit an miss or just a bad pic
by the looks of it though, if your not bothered by the pink, it looks like it will havea bit of side to side adjustment (at the post mount), where as the a2z one just looks like a straight through bolt hole

Yes, that all backs up what I'm saying :) They've all gone to 203mm rotors, 180 is the smallest that will work.

Interesting, although it appears to be exactly the same as the Hope +20mm one so I suspect a typo :)

That's for a PM brake on an IS fork.[/quote]

It's for #2 daughters trials BSO . . .

Got something I'm waiting on, will know in 3 days... otherwise I'll have to sort something..

She currently has Gordo Chilli Works forks on it and mikeekim gave her a pair of Axels...

I think the Gordo forks are damped by water, judging by what fell out when I turned it upside-down :?

one thing i have noticed when looking at adapters/buying them, they work from the brake
so- pm to is would mean post mount brake to is mount :?
and vice versa of course
ring wiggle, see what they say

also, if it was for post mount caliper - i.s fork, wouldnt it be the other way round? :? i.e if what you suggested is correct, the ditch bit wouldnt allow an i.s brake as it would stick out rather than sit inwards
