Just got one of these..

Shimano Mount Adaptor Front Post to IS 160mm
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=13743

Got a bit of an issue..

All the holes in the thing are threaded.. is this normal??

Also, when I bolt it to the forks, there is not enough flat surface for the head of the bolt to be flush with the outer surface of the adapter...

Is that normal?? Or even ok??

Lost me there aswell...

Unless you are trying to fit this the wrong way round or upside down, there is nothing that can possibly go wrong.....

erm could it possibly be
the bolt goes through the fork tab hole, and then screws into the adapter, the adapter goes 'inside' your fork legs (closest to the hub)

In that case I'm possibly a dingbat with the wrong adapter??....

The forks have the bolt holes going in at the back, the disc caliper bolts in through the side.

I need a 'bolts in sideways' type mount similar to this:

Can't get a pic of the actual stuff at the mo...

It's a grimeca one with holes 51mm apart that would bolt into a similar mount to that BAM fork (haven't measured the distance between the holes in the fork - which I no longer have, it's just here for illustration) ..

The fork I have has holes 74mm apart and go in through the back of the fork leg..

But it says 'Post to IS' . . . the forks are post mount (same mount as the SID's in WD Pro's thread) which means the caliper is IS ??

Arse. . . .

I did start a 'what adaptor do I need' thread but nobody replied so I winged it a bit
