Cutting and threading forks

Hi all

Well , I bought the old muddy fox pathfinder with stripped threads on the forks !

Cezar B was good enough to supply me with some identical forks from a bike he had with a snapped frame , thanks !

However the new forks are obviously from a larger frame and need cutting and re threading. Been to the bike shop and they are not keen to do it as their cutter is quite old and apparently the tange cro mo forks are quite hard. They aren't confident that they could do a good job , which is fair enough.

So , I am here cap in hand again.

Are there any kind members with the requisite kit who would like to help me out in exchange for beer vouchers if I shipped the fork to you ?

I'm stuck without this :)

Many thanks

H

Re:

Halfords could be the answer here bud if you can find a competant employee in your local branch. I know the store often gets flak on here but my branch has a guy in there that's been working on bikes for years and always does my threading work... Reasonably priced too, i think the last set cost me a tenner.
