Coyote Ultralite 96/97 UPGRADING

I'd be surprised if a Coyote Ultralite of that period didn't take a 1 1/8 headset. If it does, the internal diameter of the head tube will be 34mm, and you should be able to check easily enough that your existing steerer has an external diameter of 28.6.

yup, checked the streerer and it is 1 1/8 (internal dia - 28.6mm) i'll prob get to taking the forks off tomorrow (cant be assed now) & measure the internals of the headtube. If it's 34mm then will that hope headset be ok for my frame?

Strictly speaking, you won't be able to measure the ID of the head tube until you remove the existing headset cups, but I think you can rely on it that the 1 1/8 Hope headset will fit the frame.

Why don't you post up a picture of the bike as it is? I'd be interested to see it.

OMG    ...how long is your steerer

Seriously, if u ever even think about thinking, about selling that frame, i would be extremely interested 8)

Well the bike has changed a bit. New seat and flipped the stem, new wheels and forks are on the way.
It's a 4X frame that I'm using as a XC bike
But it rides so so well!
