confusing stickers on my Pahoehoe!

Ay up

I've just bought a 98 Kona Pahoehoe off eBay to use as a commuter and it has a sticker on the frame saying "Easton Elite 7005 Aluminium, Made in USA" then it has another sticker just above the bottom bracket saying "Made in Taiwan", anyone know the reason why? Was the frame made in the US and bike assembled in Taiwan?

easton elite aluminium is made in the USA.


most kona frames were made in taiwan, this one from US-made tubes.

ie the tubes were made by easton in america then welded together by kona in taiwan.

The tubes were welded in Taiwan FOR Kona by the Giant bike co.
