By pure coincidence the very same quote popped into my head whilst I was out on a training ride yesterday afternoon!

Sadly, although I am also a scientist, I've yet to have a similar moment of genius whilst out on the bike.

The OE dictionary defines "while" as: " space of time, esp time spent in doing something". It also defines whilst as: " = While "


And if Einstein says it's "while" then it's good enough for me. :roll:

In one version of the tale, Hofmann allegedly ingested LSD due to cross-contamination of his packed lunch after taking it into the lab. Hence food, drink and chemistry labs are not a good mix, plus it's always a good idea to wash your hands after leaving the lab to avoid any untoward consequences (e.g. phenolphthalein, a fairly common indicator solution in many lab environments, will make certain bits of your anatomy do a very good impression of a Mr. Whippy ice-cream machine if ingested )!!
