Had an Ebay bought UN91 delivered this morning.
Maybe it was from one of you guys? grahamd5171?

Anyway the axle length is wrong...described as 115 actual = 107

But it might fit the new build.

Tried the cups in three different frames and none of them take the BB.
The threads must be pretty sh*tty. I have cleaned them up with a wee wire wool and some degreaser etc, but no good.

Any tips?

Failing that, back to the seller for refund...

have you tried the bb 'the wrong way round' - cup on the right and bb in on the left?

 Erm...that works :? Never had a BB the wrong way around before
Still way to short for Middleburn cranks though.

See the For Sale section.

Cheers chaps

If it's this one:

it looks to have a normal thread - right hand thread on the left (flangeless) cup, and left hand thread on the right (flanged) cup.

I've never seen a UN91 that mounted from the left, and left and right are pretty clearly marked on the cartridge body...

Funnily I read yesterday that some shimano BBs have the cartridge on the left and adjuster cup on the right , can't say Ive ever seen one though and it just seems odd to have it that way ; Maybe they were only common in LGF's area

The BB def, mounts from the LHS which is indeed odd (to me)
Its also XTR quality in terms of weight etc...hollow axle etc
Anyway..back to Ebay when I hear from the seller.
