Cheapo CCTV systems

Get the cctv, get the evidence...get the police involved. If it's always the same man doing it, then it shouldn't be too hard to put an end to.

The cctv you can buy has really come on leaps and bounds have a look on ebay...that's where i got one to install in a friends shop, but that was about 349 pounds but he wanted 6 or 8 cameras and a monitor.
OK, it will help, and the police may then want to get involved, but in reality, what can they do? More than likely he has no home as such, doesn't care for anyone including him self. What would he have to loose in coming back another day?
If you get the police involved, he may even play up more, as if he is arrested, a night in the warm with food is waiting.
Best bet is probably to try to ignore. He will get bored and find someone else

Original post said drunk, not homeless...i assumed it was an EX or someone she knew. They might put the fright in him and he might take it elsewhere.

You may be correct. My line of thought went a different route.
OP?

Random drunk.

I think I might suggest a dog. She's been talking about getting a dog. And I know of someone who had some nice GSD puppies.

He might not be so brave if she had a German Shepherd.

I suggest stepping out to meet him/It with a baseball bat :?

Dyna, I really like you. But I wish you hadn't said that.

Vigilantism is not an adult solution and makes the person carrying it out as bad as the other guy. Plus, it may not work out the way you are thinking it would.

She has UPVC doors and windows; I would guess they're pretty secure already. Hopefully the addition of a large, noisy dog will be enough to put him off.

Peace. 8)

Highly unlikely it will :? People like that only get worse.I agree with you on the cctv idea but sometimes you have to frighten them off. :? there is hundreds of cctv vids showing people being raped/attacked/murderd.How good was it to prevent such attacks

Im not talking about attacking him or anything like that,i hate violence in my 12000+ posts ive never suggested anyone to do stuff like that.To know theres another guy on the scene will make him think twice especially if that guy appears like he is willing to thump him

This guy MUST be stopped and if the police cant do anything till something actually happens then who will protect her?.
Horrific to contemplate but what if he gets in or meets her outside where she doesnt have the protection of windows and door :?

A dog [no offence >] sounds like just hoping it will work and if it doesnt then something else, that doesnt deter then something else. How many times do you placate this animal??

For one guy being a nuisance, and a dangerous one at that, cops are the main thing to go with....incase it gets worse, get it on record.

As for CCTV, I had good success with a £30 black and white one, build in infra red etc, until it was ripped off the wall by the local toe rags.

lost of options on ebuyer.com for under £50, but she should really report it to the police. if all else fails then go with dynas sugestion
