Cheap and effective DIY garage bike storage solutions

6 weeks from now I'll be back in Plymouth at my Mum's for the xmas holidays, and I'm hoping to set up a cheap but effective solution to bike storage. I have 4 bikes, boxed up, plus 3 frames, and I would like to have them stored a bit more elegantly, preferably off the floor space (which sometimes floods when there is very heavy rain). In terms of the structure of the garage to work with, I have wooden rafters and not much else.

I'm keen to hear other people's solutions to bike storage, whether low or high tech, cheap or moderately expensive, elaborate or simple.

Just a rubber coated hook to hang a wheel on, screwed into one of the ceiling joists for me

Big plastic coated hooks in the rafters hook under the nose of the saddles if you can make them reach you could also hook one on the stem too

I was assuming I'd hook onto the frame, but you prefer the stem / saddle?
