CBS Touring

This is a one-off c. 1982 CBS touring built by Koichi Seki for Tony Hoar. It was in a terrible state when I got it, and I admit it's a bit of a 'ghetto build'. I've now got it with 9 speed indexed DT shifting and various mismatched DA parts, along with the interesting Shimano 600 touring cantis. Frame and fork are Reynolds 531, and I've thrown on a set of 32mm tires for our local potholes.

Update: took this out for a couple of shakedown rides (hit the deck on one of them, ouch), rides great, very stable and comfortable.
Perhaps you can try 45mm see if that deals with the potholes better. :D I hope you weren't badly hurt. Nice bike!

LOL, 'road maintenance' seems to mean 'let things crumble into dust'. It was a stupid incident, my fault for not setting up limit screws properly. Haven't gone down in eight years, and that one left me permanently screwed up, so escaping with bumps and bruises is a win at my age.
