Nice Clockwork but if you run bouncy forks they have to be Pace - it's the law!

Not always. My P7 came from Orange with Manitou forks (I would have preferred Pace though)

I'd do a sympathetic restoration of what you have. Maybe adding thumbies but keep the RC35's, (Justbackdated on here can help with them). Anything with more travel will ruin the geometry of the frame.

Give the frame a polish & maybe get new stickers if they're too far gone,new cables etc.

Got this today and other than knowing it's an Orange I know nothing about it.
I think it's all original or at least close to it. It has mainly Deore bits, has cantilever brakes (with canti cable bits on the frame and under the stem). I think the Pace RC35 forks (non-working) are not original.

Assuming that the serial number A8912 means made by A-Pro in December of 1989, that makes it a 1990 Clockwork. I think the fork is a 1993 RC35AB. Whether you end up using it or not, I think it would be well worth restoring the fork as a recently restored one could well have a value greater than Tim AKA justbackdated's bill.
