Yeah, they dont like to make it easy :lol:

'14 models onwards have the ram fixed, some before that are changeable. Same with other hardware. There are plenty of sites online that list which models/years have swapable parts. Also the systems can share workloads, it doesnt double the power of a machine.
 
I think i may just keep two Mac's and buy a second screen. I'm not good with IT :(

I'm from a time when a pocket calculator was advanced and having used one since 1999 i see computers as all salesman hype and very over rated.
