Brodie eXpresso 1994 the return - first ride pics page 6

Re: Brodie eXpresso midlifecrisis

After 2 months I got it back: Finaly, so happy at first. I love the color, it's a dark metallic petrol (Skoda) colour, I hated the quality, so I shipped it back to the paintshop.

This is a preview without closeups

Re: Brodie eXpresso midlifecrisis

yea I was not pleased with the paintjob on my brodie but I said either they will redo it or I will not pay...so I didn't pay...

Re:

I paid before checking it  and I will not except crap. I told them in advance I was looking for top quality. I can always go ask a refund later. The guy I do the business eith is not the paintshop but the one who derusted and primed it, he did a good job and was very relaxed about it; they will have to do it over untill I'm sattisfied. I hope it will turn out alright prety soon.

Re: Brodie eXpresso midlifecrisis - finally got some fresh paint

It is back, good enough this time. Not perfect but it's good enough. I can start building, YES!!

Just need to sort wheel spacing, some (re) anodizing and decals.... Hopefully be finished before Christmas :xmas-wink:

Re: Brodie eXpresso midlifecrisis - finally got some fresh paint

That is really nice ;) Looking forward to seeing progress

Headset is in:

First mockup with wheels, I'm still not sure of the tyres I might switch to Dart/Smoke skinwalls. But I will decide when it's (almost) done.

I like this :D

I'm in contact with Gil for decals and a colleague with a lathe is going to help me with some spacers for the wheels after his holiday. On track to finnish this before Christmass

Looking good and love those paralevers 8)

Re: Brodie eXpresso midlifecrisis - finally got some fresh paint

Thanks Adrian, I still wonder how they will work though. These were high on the wanted list when I started this resurrection. I found out there is an advantage of building slow: you have more chances of finding the gems

Re: Brodie eXpresso midlifecrisis - finally got some fresh paint

Added some fresh decals today, made by Gil_M of course.

Slightly modified P2 decals on the lower fork legs:
