BoTM BoTM May 2022 nominations - Kona Special, dedicated to the memory of @pipmeister

Bike of The Month
Pip loved that Kona had a Custom order program, and when these rare frames with unique characteristics appeared, it led him to start documenting them in his fastidious manner in his Serial Threads. I will miss Pip's emails and excitement when yet another was found.

Here is my BOTm entry with a unique colour fade dedicated to Pip’s love of the Kona Hot by Tom Teesdale. Rest in peace Pip.

Pow!

Such a beautiful bike 🥰

What a great idea. And there are some beautiful bikes posted already.
My bikes wouldn't usually make the grade for BOTM. But I'd like to contribute to this month in Pip's memory.

So here goes, with something a bit weirder than the previous entries:
DM's 1997 Kona A'ha Cruiser.

I'm not in the same location as my bikes at the moment, so these are the only pics I've got. With that in mind, please excuse the poor photo quality and also ignore the "background" (i.e., my 1995 Humu Deluxe).

The current setup is shown in the second pic (with Profile BMX cranks, Primo US BB with adjustable chainline, blue DMR pedals, S&M cruiser bars, etc.).

I'm sure we all will ignore a bike like that. Especially in this thread. I know I am completely not looking
Haha! 😁
By "ignore the background Humu", I meant that it shouldn't be considered as a second "stealth entry" for this month.

Thank you to everyone who's [liked] my A'ha post.

Just stunning. I read both articles and the back and forth over parts and detail to attention is great. This has my vote.
