Bontrager OR

Just to be picky, I'd say that was a Race, not an earlier OR.

Also, cable for rear mech should go under wishbone, not over and around it...

Still yummy though - I'd like to build one up for my little one to grow into... :)
Yes, it's a 96 Race with a front suspension geometry… I would hope it was earlier with the front derailleur pulley and I got all component with bonty fork. :D

Great bike. Just to say something: i would build w/ a rock shox mag 21 or Judy w/ bontrager specific crown w/ less rake. Also bontrager stem and a titec seatpost. No syncros, no cooks, no Graftons. No bling. Deore xt all over. Why? Because that´s how Bontrager sent them off back then. Otoh it is a beautifull build you did there.

Re:

I got that Bontrager in mind when I built it. In 91-92, Bontrager was an exotic US brand in France and the shop which built it (La Maison du Vélo in Paris) choose all bling part :D

Interestingly, I've just noticed the bike in the article isn't wearing amberwall tyres.
When was it published?
Obviously Maison du Vélo put the latest and greatest on that build - amberwall are so old tat :)

Is that doc in the Retrobike archives?

Your cable routing isn't quite Bontrager though - have a look at the Bontrager doc on Page7 of my build thread

I just read back on the thread - the wheels are actual Bontrager cut and re-rolled road rims? :D
Chapeau!
How did you manage to get those?
